FlashForward is a TV series based on the novel of the same name by the Hugo, Nebula, and Campbell award winning author Robert J. Sawyer. The show, a piece of near future science fiction, draws the viewer in by presenting a problem that raises many more questions than it answers. One so compelling the viewer [...]

Movie Review: Surrogates
In Moonlighting, Bruce Willis was a cop. In the Die Hard series, Bruce Willis was a cop. And in Surrogates, Bruce Willis plays, you guessed it, a cop. But this time, he is a cop in a world without crime. The invention of the surrogates – androids controlled by the mind of their owners – [...]
Movie: Rift
The Twilight Zone gets another reboot, this time on the internet. Watch it here or at L Studio. This is a great interpretation of the Pandora’s Box myth.
TV Review: Riese the Series “Fragments”
Having collapsed outside the city wall in episode one, Riese awakens in the town hospital with a server wound. Not to be deterred, Riese climbs out of bed, only to see an odd sight. The entire town is having babies at once! Though Riese says nothing, it is clear that she is uneasy, and that [...]
Movie: Ink
If you haven’t seen this, you need to. (NSFW) “As the light fades and the city goes to sleep, two forces emerge. They are invisible except for the power they exert over us in our sleep, battling for our souls through dreams.” Awesome, awesome fantasy.

Movie Trailer: Clash of the Titans
You know, some people may be annoyed at this remake, but honestly, the 1981 film could do with some good CGI. I don’t recognize any of the stars (except that British guy who played the monk from the Romeo and Juliet movie with Leonardo Dicaprio and Claire Danes – itself a pretty awesome “remake”).
Movie Trailer: The Book of Eli
Four reasons for me to love this movie.
1. Denzel Washington is a superior actor.
2. I like post-apocalyptic movies (yes, even The Postman).
3. This trailer is suitably enigmatic and intriguing – and so I am beguiled.
4. The Road is going to be awfully depressing and I already know how it ends.
Movie Trailer: Prince of Persia
This looks good, even if it stars Jake Gyllenhaal (blech). It sure is heavy on cinematic effects, but I’m cool with that, since the plot has to be fairly simple if it stays to true to the videogames.
