Happy national buy a book day!!! I’m gonna get me some paperback goodness today!
I just got back from my local Barnes and Nobles and just bought the Kindle version of Waterdeep: The City of Splendors.
Sweet choice, that is a good book. It was one of the very first books I reviewed for GFTW.
Every day is Buy a Book Day for me.
So, I didn’t know about this until @ConlanPress tweeted about it earlier (while I was at work), but I did raid some book stores with my niece and grandmother yesterday. I have four book purchase assists (grandmother bought them) and I bought sixteen books for myself. Unfortunately, my books came from a used book store and a goodwill store. My grandmothers, though, were full priced new books and it wouldn’t have been possible without me driving her.
Also, I’m adding this date to my calendar for the future because this is an awesome “holiday” and I can’t wait to properly participate next year! Of course, I regularly buy new books at full price throughout the year anyway… Just don’t tell my husband!
Alysha,
Thanks for being a part of it!
