Phoenix Pick is offering a couple of free books from classic SF authors Poul Anderson and Frank Herbert on the front page of their website. These stories can be found elsewhere for free, but Phoenix Pick has taken the time to put them into nice editions with illustrations in PDF format.
The links below will take you directly to the PDF download.

Why do seemingly all e-books have such wretched covers??? Apparently no one gives a hoot (to use a nice version of what I was thinking) about the visual, because it’ll just get skipped over by the person e-reading anyway. Bah, a curse on e-readers and those who use them.
