In March of this year, I attended a three-day writing seminar hosted by Kevin J. Anderson, David Farland, Brandon Sanderson, Rebecca Moesta, and Eric Flint. Video and Audio recordings of this outstanding event are available for purchase, and for preview on YouTube. Their next seminar will be held in either Salt Lake City or Provo, UT, in January, 2011.
While I was there, I conducted video interviews with Brandon Sanderson, David Farland, and Eric Flint. In the Brandon Sanderson interview, he talks about the seminar and his upcoming release, The Way of Kings. David Farland spoke about the writing workshops he offers.
In this post, I’d especially like to share the Eric Flint interview with you, because I think he offered some valuable insights into the business of publishing and the plight of the aspiring writer.
The first two parts are each about 10 minutes long, and the third is a minute long. It’s a tough call, but part 2 is my favorite. I hope you enjoy it!
