GFTW Welcomes Moses Siregar III

We have a new regular columnist in our ranks.

Here’s Moses in his own words:

Moses Siregar III

It all started with one very special cartoon series. My first “spiritual” experience came through watching the 85-episode-long Robotech saga at the age of 10. I honestly decided then that I wanted to give back some day and try to inspire others just as that incredible series did for me (at that time, my goal was to create an epic cartoon series). After high school, I spent 16 years searching for the meaning of life, decided it was simple enough, and returned to my first goal in life: Dreaming up epic stories and being an epic goofball.

The Black God's War by Moses Siregar IIIAfter spending many years writing non-fiction, I am now preparing to unleash my debut epic fantasy novel on the willing. It’s tentatively titled, THE BLACK GOD’S WAR, and it’s a bit of an homage to Homer. I am also looking forward to watching Robtech DVDs with my three-year-old son Athens some day soon. You can find me blogging about the writing life at Moses and Dionysus Walk Into a Bar.

You can also find me on Twitter, Facebook, Facebook, and YouTube, GoodReads or Shelfari. Starting in August, I’ll be the news manager at Adventures in Sci-Fi Publishing. Finally, I’m thrilled to be a monthly columnist at Grasping for the Wind!

Welcome Moses! Glad to have you aboard the good ship Grasping for the Wind!

Moses’s first post goes live today at noon EST.

Welcome Moses! I’m checking out the YouTube video of you reading the first chapter of your book right now – it sounds great so far. :)

  4. Thanks so much, Heather! That was the first time I’d ever done a public reading. I was pretty nervous, but I don’t think it showed too much :-)

  5. Heather J. says:

    You did fine!

  6. Thanks Heather. Luckily, I’ve done enough public speaking so that I can usually hide it :-)

It was fun to do the reading, though.

  7. Ashley says:

    Nice to meet you!

I’ll be popping up here myself soon.

Looking forward to reading your posts and exploring your blog!

  8. Cool, Ashley. When do you make your first post?

  9. Ashley says:

    Moses — the 28th.

Someone sent me a memo on the meaning of life, and I lost it. I hate it when that happens. If I find it, I’ll let you know! :)

  10. I could really use that, thanks Ashley.
