Grasping for the Wind

I Miss You

Darra Dachshund No Legs

Early this morning I woke up to find my 2 year old dog trembling and shaking, yelping when I touched her. She is now at the vet, getting surgery on her back to remove a slipped disk that was pressing on her spinal cord.

There is a good chance she will be fine (for a while, there are other disks with problems, though not as bad as the current one), but I am worried and I miss her terribly. She is the sweetest dog, gentle, lovable and oh so cute. I wish she was home.

  • Hope she's feeling better soon!
  • I'm sending good thoughts her way. I know just how difficult it is to deal with a beloved pet's pain. :(

Glad she's doing okay, those darn pets really worm their way into your heart.
  • Yup, she is a long-hair dachschund, a mini.

Just heard tht she came out of surgery ok. Won't know how she is doing neurologically till tomorrow morning, but the vet seemed positive.
  • Long hair daxon? Lovely pooch anyway, fingers crossed for a full recovery. Always hard to be seperated from our pets.
