The Ham Sized Fist Award

There is a new fantasy award in town, and this one, like the David Gemmell Legend Award, is focused on sword and sorcery and heroic fantasy. This being a favorite genre of mine, I’m glad to see a new award crop up. Too many of the awards in the genre go to SF these days, and the heroic fantasy and sword and sorcery subgenres need more recognition.
The prizes are $300 to the author and $300 to the publisher, though Jeff Crook, who is the creator of the award, is asking for donations to get the prize up to $500 a piece.
So check out the Ham-Sized Fist Award website for all the official rules and details.
